Power of Holy Expectation
There are seasons when we pray, believe, and wait without seeing immediate evidence of change. In those moments, God invites us to cultivate holy expectation, the confidence that He is still working even when we cannot yet see the results. The power of holy expectation is choosing to believe God is still working, even when His work is hidden and the outcome has not yet appeared.
Faith teaches us to trust what God is doing beyond what our eyes can see. Hebrews 11:1 describes faith as confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Holy expectation is not about demanding a specific outcome from God. It is about believing that He remains faithful, active, and purposeful even when circumstances appear unchanged.
Joseph spent years in difficult circumstances before seeing God's purpose unfold. David was anointed king long before he sat on the throne. These stories remind us that God's work often develops beneath the surface before it becomes visible.
When we live with holy expectation, we do not allow delays or uncertainty to convince us that nothing is happening. Instead, we continue praying, preparing, obeying, and believing. We remain available for what God may be doing behind the scenes.
