Gift of Wise Relationships

The people we walk with can influence our perspective, decisions, and spiritual growth. Godly relationships do more than provide companionship, they encourage us to become who God has called us to be. The gift of wise relationships helps us choose companions who strengthen our faith, sharpen our character, and encourage us to walk faithfully with God.

Proverbs 13:20 reminds us that walking with the wise makes us wise, while keeping company with fools brings harm. Our relationships can either strengthen our faith or gradually pull our hearts away from God's truth. This is why choosing relationships wisely matters.

Godly relationships are built on honesty, encouragement, accountability, respect, and a shared desire to honor God. This does not mean surrounding ourselves only with people who think exactly as we do. Instead, it means recognizing which relationships help us grow in wisdom, character, and faith.

There are seasons when God may also lead us to create healthy distance from relationships that consistently pull us away from His purposes. Choosing wisely is not about rejecting people; it is about stewarding the relationships God has entrusted to us.

Propelling Point

Wise relationships help us grow stronger when we intentionally walk with people who encourage our faith and sharpen our character.

Propel Activation

Take time to reflect on the relationships closest to you. Ask God to show you which relationships are strengthening your faith and where you may need healthier boundaries or greater intentionality.
