Gift of Spiritual Awareness

God is always at work, but we do not always recognize it. In the busyness of everyday life, we can become so focused on what is happening around us that we overlook the ways God is moving, guiding, providing, and opening doors. The gift of spiritual awareness helps us slow down, recognize God’s presence, and notice His guidance, provision, and activity in the ordinary moments of life.

Spiritual awareness begins with becoming attentive to God's presence and activity. Psalm 46:10 reminds us to be still and know that He is God. Stillness gives us room to notice what busyness can hide.

God may be working through an unexpected opportunity, a timely conversation, a closed door, a moment of provision, or even a season that seems quiet. Developing spiritual awareness does not mean looking for signs in everything; it means staying prayerful, grounded in Scripture, and attentive to the ways God may be directing our steps.

When we become more spiritually aware, ordinary moments can become reminders of God's faithfulness. We begin to notice His provision, recognize His guidance, and appreciate His presence even when His work is unfolding quietly.

Propelling Point

Spiritual awareness grows when we slow down enough to recognize God's presence and activity in our everyday lives.

Propel Activation

Take a few quiet moments today and reflect on your current season. Ask God to open your eyes to what He may be teaching, providing, or revealing to you, and write down one thing you recognize as evidence of His faithfulness.

Scripture Meditation

"He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”" - Psalm 46:10
