The courage to ask God means bringing your questions, desires, fears, and needs honestly before Him while trusting His wisdom and response.
Sometimes we hesitate to ask God for what is on our hearts.
We may wonder whether our questions are too small, our concerns too complicated, or our desires too personal. We may even feel that we should have more faith and fewer questions.
But God does not ask us to hide from Him.
He invites us to come.
Prayer is not a performance. It is a relationship. God already knows what is in your heart, yet He invites you to bring it to Him.
There is courage in asking.
Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Jesus gave His followers permission to ask, seek, and knock.
Asking God does not mean demanding that He give us exactly what we want. It means trusting Him enough to bring our desires, questions, fears, and needs into His presence.
Sometimes the answer will be yes.
Sometimes it will be no.
Sometimes it will be wait.
But regardless of the answer, prayer gives us an opportunity to deepen our relationship with God.
You can ask God for wisdom when you do not know what to do.
You can ask Him for strength when you feel weak.
You can ask Him for direction when the next step is unclear.
You can ask Him to change circumstances, change your perspective, or change your heart.
God is not intimidated by your questions.
He already knows what you are thinking and feeling. You do not have to make your prayers sound perfect. You can come honestly and trust that He hears you.
As you seek God, remember that prayer is not simply about getting an answer. It is about getting closer to the One who holds the answer.

You do not need perfect words to have an honest conversation with God.
Bring Him what is real.
Bring the question you are afraid to ask. Bring the decision you are struggling to make. Bring the dream you are afraid to hope for. Bring the disappointment you have not been able to explain.
God can handle your honesty.
Seeking Him requires humility, but it also requires confidence that He cares enough to listen.
