Joy in the Journey — Choosing Gratitude Every Day

Joy in the Journey — Choosing Gratitude Every Day
Around a warm, inviting table, friends share laughter and stories, embodying the joy and gratitude found in life’s simple, everyday moments.

 Joy in the journey

Do you find yourself waiting for life to be “perfect” before you feel joy? Real joy isn’t tied to circumstances—it’s found in God’s presence and cultivated through gratitude.

Happiness comes and goes, but joy is a fruit of the Spirit that remains even in hardship. 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 says: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

When we choose gratitude, we shift our focus from what we lack to what God has already done. Gratitude doesn’t ignore challenges—it reminds us that God is still faithful in the midst of them. When we choose gratitude each day, we discover true joy in the journey, no matter what season of life we are in.

Propelling Point:

Joy is not about having a perfect life—it’s about choosing gratitude and trusting God daily.

Propel Activation:

Write down three things you’re grateful for each day this week. At the end of the week, look back and thank God for His faithfulness.

Scripture Meditation:

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
